Orthosis

Orthosis Fabrication

An orthotic is a special external device that usually is inserted or attached to a shoe.  It can also be a shoe designed to compensate for foot differences.  It helps to support, immobilize or treat a weak or injured limb. Orthosis fabrication targets either lower limbs or upper limbs. CURE Kenya has over the years been able to fabricate these devices from locally available materials in order to ensure the constant availability and affordability of these devices since many of the clients visiting CURE are economically constrained.
